SD-1

A sit/stand desk with a second tier that comes to you. Studio bridge, motorised arm, every cable inside.

SD-1 in black anodised aluminium with the SD arm and a 27-inch screen, path-traced

Black ano · desk at 740 mm · SA-1 arm · path-traced from the CAD

Film · 46 s

Built as a desk. Moves like a studio.

Every frame path-traced from the CAD modelRendered in Blender Cycles on an RTX 4090
Three tiers of movement

The desk rises. The bridge comes forward. The screen turns to you.

SD-1 fully raised to 1250 mm
Tier 1 · the desk

650–1250 mm

Two 1200 N lifting columns

Three-stage, 70 × 70 mm, with 214 mm of overlap per joint at full height. Three presets, a jog wheel for the last millimetre, and a height scale you read at the collar.

Tier 2 · the studio bridge

240 mm forward + 300 mm up

A standing counter at 1168 mm, with the desk still seated

Two lift posts on hidden tracks outside the desk edge, each on a pair of HIWIN guide blocks. A 50 N push at full lift moves the top 0.07 mm.

Tier 3 · the SD arm

±60° swivel · 90° turn

Strain-wave actuators that aim, not lift

The bridge already moves the screen, so the arm is a short column with three ZeroErr actuators. A balance spring carries the screen's weight, so the tilt motor holds under 1 Nm. Follow keeps it square to you, 650 mm away.
